Hello, I need help urgently..I bought 2 rats that were sisters about a year ago and one died about a month ago. So i decided to buy another one for company and they older one attacts it and makes it squeak, I dont know what to do, ive heard your meant to completely scrub and soak the cage over night so the smell of the older one isnt there and it wont be her territory anymore and then they can make it their home together and i’d do that but i’ve rang the pet shop and told them im going to bring her back tomorrow and if i do all that with the cage and they still fight then it’ll be too late to take her back!!!
Does my rat really need a mate or will she be fine by herself??? Cause i really dont wanna go through all the fighting!
