What’s New

Check out Fat Rat Central’s new-new Club…I tried Yahoo! Groups, but it just didn’t have the features I was looking for…now I’m using GeekLog, which has the stability we all need and the features I’ve wanted for years. Now you can submit articles and stories of your own, run polls, post links and images, ask one another questions, and plan get-togethers. I hope this will make FRC more of a community. FRC is now TONS more interactive, and not just because of the club. I am now using WordPress to organize and run the site, which means you can comment on all the FAQs with tips of your own, request additions to the site, search more effectively, and subscribe to the RSS feed of the site. Also new is the way the FAQ page works–it will now be ever-evolving. I get many emails each week, and I’ve noticed a lot of them are repeating. So if you’ve got questions, check out the FAQ, because I will be posting questions as I receive and answer them. The club might also be helpful; you can ask your fellow rat fans for help. I have also updated the links page. It is now organized around the structure of the site, so you can find more information about the topics you’re interested in. There is a disco in Moscow (http://www.zonaclub.ru/) where they keep LIVE RATS under the glass floor, as a “scenic decoration”. People tried to write their protests on the forum of this disco but everything is immediately deleted. As an answer, they said: “The rats reproduce, this mean they’re well”. It was no use explaining that rats reproduce always everywhere, that pregnant rats have special needs and that nobody sknows what happens to the offspring. Please help us to make this protest stronger: - forward this email to other pet-rat lovers - write an email (in English is ok) to the disco, against this cruel habit of keeping live pet rats in awful conditions only to amuse their clients.
