Belial

You were the kindest and most sensitive companion I ever knew, whether it was your gentle grooming of my hands when i was sad or coming to greet me when i came home from work. You ate everything in sight and lived for longer than anyone could expect. I’ll never forget how the night before you passed away and were sick, you opened your cage and came into my room to find me while I was out, and when i came home you were huddled in my clothes waiting for me to pick you up and hug you. Then in the morning when i got up, you struggled your way over to say goodbye, I said hello and stroked your coat and then you were gone. I wish i could have done more to save you, but we had so much fun while it lasted…. I miss you, rest in peace.

Taerom March 2003-Nov 01st 2006

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

Taerom passed away today, this afternoon. He was a very old rat, the oldest family member of his kind I believe to grace us with his unconditional love and thousands of kiss’s. I honestly feel like he took a piece of my heart with him. He required quite a bit of care over the last few months, my lovely “senior citizen”, I will miss our meetings in which you raised your bright eyes and ears towards me in anticipation of what I was delivering. Whether it was the dryer warmed ratty blankies together with a snack or some fresh tissue paper for you to fuss over I will miss the opportunity to serve you. Though you lived for what we humans think a short period of time as far as life span’s go, I would gladly give up a piece of my heart to you and others of your kind knowing full well it will be used to the fullest possible. Taerom, my dear senior citizen, you will be terribly missed and lovingly remembered.

Splinter was my first rat along with a bald one, wich I didn’t find to my liking.
