Tissot ~ ??/??/05 -16/4/07
Tissot, my hooded pet rat, passed away in my arms on Monday the 16th of April 2007. I cared for him during his last moments and I miss him dearly. My other rat, Bando (also a hooded rat) is sad and lonely amd misses him dearly. Does anyone have any idea how long it should take for him to feel a bit more happy and when the best time to intoduce a new friend is? Obviously no rat will ever replace Tissot but for Bando’s sake I need to introduce a new rat to him, does anyone have any easy to follow rat introduction steps? I love ratties so can someone put a pic of there rat in their post or their comment?, thankyou.

hey i was just replying to your introduction question, i just recently bought a baby, (persy) who i introduced to a year old male, it went well. what you do is just introduce them in a place where bando doesnt usualy play, make sure bando doesnt pick on the new guy intell he can defend himself properly. I wouldnt go for a older rat because from my experince it caused alot of fights beetween my 2 males. its better to have a baby growing to live knowing bando is the boss. a grown male will not accept that bandos the boss, therefore causing alot of fights. my email is alexandra-filth@hotmail.com if you have anymore questions. Hope your little guy feels more happy.
