Muffy
Muffy was adopted from my friend’s Grade 7 class in 2006 on November 17th. She was affectionate, did not bite and was super friendly and eager to meet people. She was a little hooded rat. She stayed with us for two Christmases, but we only celebrated one birthday with her. Muffy died today at roughly 7 pm.
Muffy liked sitting in people’s hoods and the pockets of hoodies. She liked listening to music and especially loved it when we played the piano for her. She loved carrots and sleeping. It all went downhill last Thursday, when she started getting listless. By Friday she was having difficulty breathing. Today we took her to the vet, got some medicine and went home. Roughly 4 hours later, she had passed.
We will miss her a lot, because no rat will ever truly replace her. Every rat is different, and she was a spectacular character. She was my first rat as well as my first pet. She will never EVER be forgotten. We on Earth may have lost her, but God has gained another rat to take care of in Heaven. I just know she is chattering her teeth in Heaven.
